It's March 8th and I am excited to be part of 

The Spring Thyme Blog Hop

 It's still 12 days until the first official day of Spring but around here

 we have been having Spring weather for a couple of weeks now!!! 

I sat outside today and took in the sights and sounds to share with you......

Our skies have been blue, our bulbs are blooming,

 the trees are budding, and our grass is green and growing.

 The birds are busy building, the eagles are soaring over head,

 frogs are talking and there are wild bunnies nibbling in the clover.

Oh......and a little relaxing in the sun for some!!!

We are truly blessed here in the Northwest!!! 

 I send "WARM" thoughts to all of you who are still digging out from the cold and the snow

 and I hope you find warmth, comfort and love as you hop from blog to blog. 

This recipe is a favorite of mine and is so easy to 

mix it up and serve it on a fresh croissant!!

Its great to serve a group of stitching friends!!

Happy Spring!!! 

For me the hardest part of writing a blog post is the first sentence!! 

Where to start? 

And like so many I've read....They start out by saying something like.....

WOW ....HOW TIME FLIES.....Where have the days and months gone??

 So I know I am not alone when it comes to long stretches between blog posts!! 

Oh how I wish I were better at it....

.Oh how I wish I had the gift of writing.....of singing.....

of oh so many things!!! 

But here I am...just me....saying....

WOW HOW TIME FLIES!!!

I am leaving in the morning to head up north to vend at the
Sewing and Stitchery Expo in Puyallup, WA.
It's a great show!!
Lots to see and learn!!
I hope if you are in the area you get a chance to come!!

By the time we return it will be March!!!
I love March!!
Its the start of new things....
a new season....and FLOWERS!!!

 It is also the month Jeff and I got married.
We planned our wedding in March because Jeff
was a high school teacher at the time and it was Spring Break!!
We got married on the FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!!
And of course it rained!!!
That was 39 years ago this year!!

Anyway...that was a rabbit trail....
speaking of rabbits, I have a new pattern out called
Chubby Bunny!!
It's not on my website yet but if you are interested
send me a message and I will make sure you get one so you can
get it made before Easter!!!

ANYWAY....as I was saying.....
and my point is......
that it's almost March....
which brings us to such a fun FREE event!!

A New Year

Happy Late New Year!!! 

Wow January is almost over.....another reminder of how fast time goes by!! 

I hope you are all settled into 2015 and starting new wool projects!!!

Today I am about to burst with JOY...it's my day to share!!!

It's common to hear that Monday's typically are not peoples most favorite day....
especially in the middle of winter!! 

Of course .....I guess that depends on which clock you live by and what season you live in....

but wherever you  are, I'm hoping to add some JOY to your day!! 

I have a very special friend named JOY whom I met when I was just out of high school. I met her at a time when I was young, insecure, and thirsty for a great friend!! She embraced that need with open arms and has never let go!! She has laughed, wept, and shopped with me, eaten pizza, chocolates, and drank with me. She's listened to me, witnessed my wedding, loved my children, and what else does a good friend do....

she stitches with me!!!  

She is my JOY of a friend! !!

While working on my project I thought a lot about how and what I see JOY in......
 and how I can better share JOY with others.

I love hand dyed wools and wool applique!!
When I see it, touch it, and stitch with it,
 it gives me JOY!!
