WOW!! Christmas sure went by fast!!
As soon as I got home from Australia I hit the online shopping sites!!!
The last two years I have done most of my
Christmas shopping online and I have to say I like it!!
You get to shop without traffic, parking lots, and lines!!
You find what you want or at least you don't
have to drive from store to store to figure out who has it!!
I turn on the Christmas music and away I go surfing the web!!
Then....there is the anticipation of the package coming!!
Checking things off my list as the orders are delivered!!
 Plus...it keeps my husband employed!!!

Gotta LOVE those UPS men!!!
Well...at least I LOVE MINE!!!

We are 5 days into January and we have been
stuck at home 3 of them due to weather!!
It's ICY here....schools closed and Jeff wasn't even
able to get out the driveway yesterday
for work and hardly made it back in tonight.
Whatever started to melt today refroze by the time he got home!!

I have been busy taking down all things Christmas.
I always try and take time as I am wrapping up the
season and packing away the ornaments to remember
where I collected each item from.
A FRESH package of white tissue paper is always
a necessity when packing up Christmas!!

This cute little mouse stringing popcorn is a Hallmark ornament I got in 1986!!
I "Used" to sting popcorn EVERY year for my tree!!!

And as empty as the house feels with it all
down and put away the New Year is moving in faster than I can get the calendar up!!!

So Happy New Year!!! First thing is to get organized....It FEELS GOOD!!!
This week I am organizing my sewing and office area!!
The Sewing and Stitchery Expo is right around the corner!!

February 25 - 28 2016
At the Puyallup, Washington Fair Grounds!!
It's a great show and so much fun!!
Hope if you live in the area you can attend.

New patterns are coming soon so keep watch
and I will of course post them also when they are ready.
I always have new patterns in the spring as it is Quilt Market time.
This year it is in Salt Lake City, Utah only about a day or so drive.

Quilt Market is a wholesale trade show for the Quilting Industry.
It's a huge event and requires lots of time and planning!!
I will have more information coming about wool workshops I will be
doing at a couple of quilt shops on the way home.

I hope you are all finding ways to stay warm if you
live in a cold climate and for
my aussie friends, I hope you are having ICE in your drinks!!

  1. When you get done reorganizing your sewing room, please come do mine. I love an organized area, I just hate taking the time to do it ... I'd rather be sewing! Happy New Year!

  2. You aren't kidding about time going fast...however not fast enough to meet our little Miss Veronica though. She is close to Momma but soon...inducing tomorrow. Loving all the posts from your trip as well as looking forward to seeing your new designs. Missing my stitching time with you, Jan, Donna, Valerie and others who could make it. Stay warm, dry, safe and we will chat soon. Hugs from MI
